GR&I is responsible for tenant and landlord representation, buying and selling commercial and investment properties, land assemblages, developing commercial and residential vacant land, and property management. Brands, Family Video, Starbucks Coffee, Ramco Gershenson, Regency Centers, Tony Sacco's Coal Oven Pizza, Aaron Rents, Walgreen's, CVS, Dunkin' Donuts, Pancheros Mexican Grill, Pet Supplies Plus, Advance Auto Parts, and PNC Bank.
Larry started in the commercial real estate industry in 2003, working with Tjader and Insite Commercial Group, where he focused on retail leasing and site selection. Leasing quickly grew into market development and disposition for national clients, shopping center development, and investment sales. During his time with Insite, he learned to find opportunities and make commercial real estate transactions happen.
In 2006, Larry joined The Velmeir Companies and spent over five years assisting with the growth of CVS/pharmacy. His projects included new and established market growth both organically and through acquisition. The experience with Velmeir gave Larry a fundamental understanding of strategic market planning, market presentation, and market penetration. Primarily working with CVS/pharmacy, Larry was instrumental in planning, identification, presentation, procurement, entitlement, and construction management, completing nearly 50 drugstore projects across eight states.
In 2012, Larry rejoined Tjader and Gerdom Realty & Investment. He works on various commercial and residential real estate projects, encompassing his past experiences and relationships.
Joel started in the commercial real estate industry in 2003 after graduating from Aquinas College with First Commercial Realty & Development, specializing in representing retailers, landlords, and developers in the sale and leasing of shopping centers, freestanding buildings, land assemblage, new development, and redevelopment opportunities earning top sales awards each year. In 2007, Joel became a co-founding partner of Paramount Real Estate Services, where he was responsible for high-profile tenant representation, land assemblage, site identification, purchase, and lease negotiations throughout Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, North Carolina, and South Carolina.
Some of his clients include Walgreens, White Castle, Popeye’s Chicken, Dunkin Donuts, Murry Retail Group, and Bacall Development. In 2016, Joel teamed up with Gerdom Realty & Investment and continues to approach every assignment with unparalleled experience and enthusiasm, ensuring that each client receives the highest quality of service. Joel is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), National Association of REALTORS® (NAR), Commercial Board of REALTORS® (CBOR), Officer of the Knights of Columbus (12408), and on the board of several local organizations.
Vicki Gutowski graduated from the University of Michigan with a BA in Economics in 2012 and from Eastern Michigan University with an MBA in 2017. Since joining Gerdom Realty in 2012, Vicki has gained experience working on landlord and tenant representation. As director of marketing and administration, Vicki oversees the advertising regiment for the company’s listings and the creation of presentation material for tenant and buyer representation clientele on top of property management and day-to-day administrative operations.
Michael Murphy earned his associate degree in Liberal Arts from Oakland Community College in 2014. He started his career in real estate, after which he worked at Gerdom Realty & Investment as a sales associate. Michael is focusing on shopping center sales and leasing, and he assists the company in conducting market research throughout metro Detroit and creating client presentations. Michael has a strong background in restaurant operations and working with the general public. He uses this experience and positive outlook to develop meaningful relationships in the real estate community.
Bill specializes in selling and leasing commercial properties and has expertise in student-housing investment properties in Ann Arbor and East Lansing. He joined Gerdom Realty after six years with Thomas Duke Commercial Real Estate. Earlier employment in the commercial building industry gave Bill a sharp sense of the bottom line. Furthermore, Bill brings the persistence and versatility of a two-sport college athlete and creative, out-of-the-box thinking, making him a valuable asset to buyers and sellers alike. He’s currently seeking his CCIM designation.
Danielle Smith graduated with her associate in Liberal Arts in 2018. She is working toward her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing at Madonna University. Danielle started her real estate career in 2017 as an executive assistant at National Realty Centers of Northville, focusing on social media management, marketing, and transaction coordination. In 2018, she became a licensed real estate agent. Danielle has professional experience in public relations, sales, and marketing outside of real estate. At Gerdom Realty & Investment, Danielle assists with administrative and property management duties while continuing to grow as an agent. She enjoys football, cooking, and listening to podcasts in her free time.
Before joining Gerdom Realty & Investment in 2023, Jack Melton started his career in real estate through a summer internship with a Detroit-based commercial mortgage brokerage firm, District Capital. Jack is also working on earning his Associate of Business Administration, with a concentration in Finance, at Washtenaw Community College. Upon completion, he plans to transfer to Eastern Michigan University in 2024 to complete his bachelor’s degree. Jack developed solid teamwork and relationship-building skills as a student-athlete, which he uses in each client interaction. At Gerdom Realty & Investment, Jack focuses on commercial investment properties, retail sales, and leasing.
